K9 Designs does not groom felines, HOWEVER....
I highly recommend Karen Drozd, owner of Kitty Couture and TLC Pet Grooming (Cats are groomed in a dog-free environment) in Farmington. YES, it is worth the extra 10 minutes to drive there for your cat's grooming needs.
Karen is the only cat groomer I trust, and if I had a cat, I would take him to Karen!

WHY do I so highly recommend Karen? Not only is Karen a trusted friend, whom I've had the privilege to spend a lot of time with on the road to grooming shows, from Dallas to Denver, to Las Vegas, but especially because Karen is one of only TWO Certified Feline Master Groomers (CFMG) in the state of Utah.
What is a CFMG? Karen graduated from the National Cat Groomers Institute of America in Greenville, South Carolina. This school is owned by world-renown and respected cat groomer, Danelle German. Danelle is very well known in the world of Felines, has been featured on Animal Planet's Cats 101 series, as well as various other programs, due to her expertise in Felines.
There are 3 MYTHS when it comes to cat grooming:
- Cats hate grooming. No! Cats can learn to love being groomed!
- Cats hate water. That's not true, they learn to like it. They just need a patient groomer.
- Cats don't need grooming, they groom themselves. Absolutely FALSE! Cats don't groom themselves, they LICK themselves! This does NOT, contrary to popular belief, clean the cat. Cats are greasy, cats get dirty, cats shed. These are 3 big reasons to have your cat groomed!
- Your cat will look better than it ever has.
- Your cat will not be sedated.
- Your cat will be groomed in a dog-free environment.
- Your cat will be handled by someone who has been properly trained in the handling of cats
(to avoid injuring the cat, not just the groomer). - Your cat will be treated humanely, with only a cat's needs in mind.
